John Clarke Retriever Training has been successfully training field trial, hunt test and gun dog retrievers for six years.  Prior to the official launch of JCRT as a  full time business I trained my own retrievers with the assistance of many successfull amateur trainers as well as experienced professional trainers. 

It did not take me long to realize working with retrievers could be an addictive and extremely rewarding experience.  When the opportunity to train retrievers professionally presented itself, I jumped in with both feet and never regretted my decision for a single moment!

My training ideals and philosophy are based on teaching retrievers a concept until they understand what is expected of them.  If they don't get it, I continue teaching until they understand.  I take great pride in developing retrieving skills to a high level while maintaining a great attitiude and style.

Like all parts of our wonderfull sport, no one can do it on thier own.  It takes a team of great people who understand dogs; assistants who recognize problems and how to fix them; workers who tirelessly throw birds and bumpers in all weather; and of course it takes great retrievers. 

I'd be glad to share with you the sum of all my retriever training experiences to help you meet your goals.  This is a wonderfull sport that everyone can enjoy and share success.
